Sri T. Krishnamacharya, who lived for 100 years, is recognized as
the most significant influence imparting authentic knowledge in yoga in the last 50 years. Many of the best known yoga teachers of today have been his students, including B.K.S. Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois, and T.K.V. Desikachar.
Srivatsa Ramaswami was the longest standing student of Sri. T. Krishnamacharya outside of his immediate family. Since yoga is an art and a science, working closely with a master is highly beneficial.
