3-Hour YIN Yoga Class

Yin Yoga is the perfect antidote to urban living! Come to this special 3 hour yin practice and you will tap into your body's flow of energy while cultivating mindfulness and experiencing a rejuvenating meditation.

During the workshop, we will practice a series of floor postures, each held 3 to 5 minutes. All levels are welcome and modifications will be provided for any sensitivities or injuries.

Yin yoga focuses on the connective tissues, stimulating the energy meridians throughout the body. While this form of yoga is more passive, it can also be quite challenging. It is a re-set for the body and mind to a calm, relaxed state.

Yin yoga is the great complement to the more muscular, dynamic forms of yoga such as vinyasa. Because of the longer holds, you will feel the poses on a deep level and better understand them, both physically & energetically.

Jim York began practicing yoga in 1997. He has traveled to India for several months of yoga studies with V. Venkatesha and completed teacher trainings with Suddha Weixler. His teachings have been shaped by yin masters, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.
