9:00AM – 12:00NOON Secrets of the Ashtanga Vinyasa System Rhythm, exquisite detail, and meditative alignment make the ashtanga system really work right from the very beginning. We will explore the basics of internal breathing, the energy connections in the core of the body and the subtle movements that compose the Ashtanga system. |

Small, subtle adjustments in form and attitude can make problematic and difficult poses produce their fruits. We will look a little deeper into Back Bends, Shoulders Stands, Headstands and their entourage of related poses. Common difficulties, injuries and misalignments will be examined and their solutions explored. |

9:00AM - 12:00NOON Core Mudras and the Essential Tricks Learn to use Drishti, Bandha and the continuous refinement of technique to awaken the core of the body. We will play with the paradoxes of breathing and the complementarity of technique to draw through the central axis of the body a kind of satisfying metaphorical milk. Experiencing a paradox in motion at the heart of the Vinyasa system allows us to turn our postures into mudras of feeling and expression. |

We will explore the subtleties of yoga practice to release the deeper threads of our feelings and thought processes into the present. |
